Every overseas nurse who wants to practice in Australia must be registered with NMBA by law. NMBA provides very clear information and guidance about registration procedures on its website.
If you’re an overseas nurse and want to work in Australia, you must apply to NMBA as ‘Overseas Nurse’’ for an ‘Assessment’. NMBA asses your application, experience, qualification and English language requirements according to its criteria. Upon completion of Assessment, NMBA provides its decision in writing.
